What are the Symptoms of Acidity?
Acidity can be described as a
condition in which there is an excess of acid emission by the gastric glands of
the stomach. Heartburn and gas configuration are the major Symptoms of Acidity. Our body produces acids to assimilate the food
we eat. However, the difficulty arises when it produces more acid than
necessary. The acid present in the stomach helps in reducing the food after
digestion.
But when an excess of acid is produced
by the gastric glands of the stomach, it is known in the state as acidity. Acidity
leads to sour or chest fire. Its common symptoms are indigestion, heartburn and
ulcer configuration.
Acid is produced in the stomach which
is very important for digestion. This acid helps to dissolve it in the
digestion of food. Irritation is felt due to the formation of digestive acid
from the stomach and this is known as acidity. Symptoms of Acidity.
This acid secretes various digestive
enzymes similar to pepsin which break down food particles to be easily
digested. A normal level of stomach acid is necessary for proper digestion of
multi-meal foods. When the acid excretion is less then the food is not digested
properly and in the event of excess secretion it is known as acidity.
Causes of Acidity:
1. Intake of fats, sweets, adulterated and fermented food.
2. Alcohol use.
3. Excessive hot, peppery, fried food.
4. Stress-related circumstances like anger, fear, worrying.
5. Excessive intake of strong chocolate, tea, coffee, garlic, onions and excessive smoking.
Symptoms of Acidity:

Discomfort, a sensation of aflame in the upper tract of the gut region
specially after you consume spicy and grave foods
2. Heartburn and Dyspepsia
3. Flatulence accompany by burping
4. Vomiting and Nausea
5. Loss of appetite
